I’m Aeriel. (Think the Little Mermaid, even if I look more like Mulan.)

I don’t always stand in a field of reeds in full-on evening gowns but, when I do, I make sure to take a picture of it.
And this. This is my beautiful sister, Tiffany.

(She doesn’t always stand around with another person inside of her but, when she does, I make her take pictures of it.)
We’re the sisters behind this whole crazy idea. Which means that this dream of using our talents to reclaim unused things, make them beautiful, and then recapitalize them to give back to others, well it started with a lot of fights over borrowed clothes and breathing too loudly (but seriously? How could she get mad at me for that?).
I am a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with two Bachelor’s Degrees (one in Psychology and one in Communication Studies). If my education can tell you anything, it’s that I was doomed with a big mouth and a big heart—and my big sister was doomed to put up with both. I work as a Communication Specialist for Professionals in Philanthropy, a consulting firm that helps nonprofit organizations operate more effectively in our communities so they can do the most good. I’ve seen people across this valley use their talents to make a measurable impact in others’ lives. It kind of inspired me to believe I could do the same, and not just while I’m working as a consultant.
See, I love to craft. Love the feeling of creating something beautiful and having a finished product in my hands that someone can appreciate. That’s an interest me and Tiff share—and trust me that’s impressive for two people who are so different.
While I’m a self-proclaimed nerd, my sister is a world-proclaimed artist. She is a licensed cosmetologist who can create art with hair (and I know there are people out there who know how artistic a good haircut can be). She is a salsa-dancing machine who performs with the team Salsa Las Vegas. She even creates perfect little people.

(I mean, come on, right? Not even Magic Mike, ladies…or gentlemen…or any other gender minorities.)
Tiffany’s also the creative force behind our team. She’s insanely talented (seriously, that gallery is mostly her). And if you can’t tell, I’m proud to call her mine.
So this is us. We’re two simple girls who love to create beautiful things with the belief that we can use those talents to help other people. We still fight about clothes. But we’ve learned to breathe through a lot of things together. This world needs a lot of help, but we’re determined to see the beautiful and the possible. This site is our homegrown belief that things can be Homemade4Hope.
